Playing FLAC files on itunes - please help

how do i play a FLAC file on itunes?
I downloaded an album using bit comet but the file types are FLAC. I have tried to drag and drop into the library and have tried right clicking and selecting open with and then itunes and also "play"
neither method is getting me anywhere - can anyone help?

To play/add to itunes you'll probably need to convert them to another format. MP3 is possible but may reduce the quality too much. Conversion to AIFF is another option

I've no idea if iTunes will play them with the correct codec but if it doesn't you can always
1. Listen to the album using WinAmp (with this FLAC codec)
or
2. Convert the files to another format such as mp3. The prog in the 1st post apparently does this. The one I have on my PC : "foobar2000" also does so. (free download)
