What is the easiest and cheapest way for me to upgrade the hard drive on my nx6110? It has 40gb and I would like tons more (big digital camera user) - Is it something I can do myself? Would I need to transfer everything from current hard drive? What's the maximum size of drive I can buy? How do I make sure I get a reliable/compatible brand? Sorry for so many perhaps "divvy" questions, but really want to do it right!

Your cheapest option would be to buy an external drive.I have a 160GB one and it cost me 100.You can buy larger drives for laptops (200GB is the biggest I have seen), but they are hugely expensive.Having an external drive would only mean you need to transfer the photos, and you would not have to mess around with installing the OS like you would with a new internal drive.
I second TEAK's excellent answer. The laptop has USB2 so ensure you get a USB2 external harddrive (most are) which will make file transfers much quicker.

Thanks guys - I'll definitely look into an external drive as it would be safer too I suppose to be able to store precious photos, should anything ever happen to lappy, God forbid!

Sorry, should have asked if anyone can recommend a particular brand of external hard drive that they have found reliable? Thanks again.
