When people put click here for this website, the word 'here' is in red and you can click on it and go straight to the site. Do you have to be a techno head to do that or could even I do it?

Sorry - that hasn't come out right at all!

It seems fiddly but it is quite easy once you've done it a few times.

Hope this explains it better!

If you have firefox it won't work so use IE,

stage 1here is the link (when you paste it press space so it goes underlined)

stage 2 Written here in the middle

stage 3 deleted bits i didn't need

here

Important make sure it stays underlinded, if it goes off being underlined, press CTRL+Z, to undo it

I copy and pasted the links wrong so they don't atcually work but you get the idea

The easy way. To avoid muck ups, go to the site you know and copy the address in the address bar.

Return to your answerbank query and paste in your answer REMEMBERING to just add a space, then ENTER. The additional space ensures the link will work.

Also, after you paste the link and hit enter, you need to highlight the link as if you were going to delete it. Do not delete it but rather just type the word " here " over it. and then just keep typing. Doing the " a target href " thing is a useless waste of time.
Ok maybe not a useless waste of time but it seems like alot to remember compared to just copying and pasting.
Well ta peanut, because I wondered how people put "Here" there instead of the actual link, but you don't have to do that - the link will work fine just the way I said.

If I ever want to do that, I right clic on the page, right clic on properties, highlight the url, copy, then insert wherever I wish to place it.

I've noticed that sometimes "properties" dosen't appear, but you get the option to copy "short cut" which works the same.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, but it still looks a bit technical for me!
yes postdog, i know the link will work but the question was how to put "here" instead of the link.

Here is this a link to yahoo?

I typed in www.yahoo.co.uk and then highlighted it and just typed in Here. (As per Peanuts suggestion.)

I can only check it by posting.

Hey - way to go Peanut. That was really easy.

Thanks from me at least.

Ok peanuts way is better, all you do is paste the site, press enter highlit it and write whatever you want to right
I'm going to try it Peanut's way. Please excuse me.
