Whats the best digital Camera that you can buy for about �200? Need to be able to take photos in concerts, anyone recommend any?

i would say get the argos book,its best for things like that, or jessups?

very recently bought the Vivicam 8300s made by Vivitar. 8.1 million pixels! I paid a bit more and got the 1GB memory card as it only comes with 64MB. 2.5 in LCD screen, also does Video with Audio (about 30 mins with the 1GB card). I'm well pleased with it.

I've just bought a Kodak Easyshare CX7525 and can't fault it. Its dead simple to use, the batteries last for ages, its 5 mega pixels and it takes great pics. I think I paid about �80 for it.

very recently bought Vivicam 8300s made by Vivitar, 8.1 million pixels, 2.5in Lcd screen, rechargeable battery (with charger). comes with a 64MB memory card. I paid a bit more and got the 1GB card. Connects via USB (lead provided) and the camera the appears as a removeable drive you can store ANY info on! The camera also does video with audio - about 30 mins in ecconomy mode, brilliant and fits your price range.

I think the new Sony T9 and the similar sized panasonic have image stabilisation built in which might be useful for low light photography. These are very small cameras!

Unfortunately they might be out of your budget.

As if you would take any advice from somebody who lives in Rugeley??? Or one who cant spell Jessops. You need a fast lens in low light conditions (maybe f.1.4 or 2.8) and at least something with a 200mm focal length assuming your not going to be stood ont he stage with the other fools. Your looking at a grand plus for any sort of decent results. Your wasting your money on this cracker rubbish. If your that interested why dont you rent a pro outfit for when you need it, like a 1DS MkII or Nikon D2X.

Fujifilm Finepix S5500 is a fantastic digital camera, try google to find where to buy cheapest, It is a liitle bulky but a great camera around your price range I think.

Claiming not being able to spell Jessops because you dont have one in your **** hole town is just plain ignorance. Then going on to give advice on Cameras is just a **** take! Go to Argos??? No, I'm a pro and I buy my cameras for my business. But that's a different subject.

I tire of Digital Amatures picking up a inferior equipment, to try and do a pros job and than make an arse job of it.

It makes the industry I work in harder to make a living and gives people who have spent time and money learning the profession from college and beyond a bad name. My answer was intended in this vein.

I still think Mitsy would be better off renting a pro kit every time she needed it, rather than wasting her money on some tat, as the question infers regular high end work.

Oh and don't you mean customers, not employees? Surely a manager wouldn't use such **** poor punctuation and grammar?

no, i mean employees, im in a business that does not need a spelling test, i have a secretary who does that!!

i understand how you feel about people coming into a proffesional trade with an amatueristic approach, however i feel misty does not intend to make money out of her photography. perhaps i am wrong?

i know better than anybody else about people who wake up in the morning with the idea of starting a small business with no ideas of the job/concept involved, they cause damage whilst they trade and leave us proffesionals to pick up the pieces after they return to the factory they came from!!!!

Bloody hell, i only asked what a good camera was for around that price, don't want to do anything professional with it!!!!! is it against the law to own a camera now unless its really expensive and you know how to use it like David Bailey??
