why wont my bittorrent download? and how can i stop it saying problem connecting to tracker?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It's probably your firewall settings that are blocking the ports that you need use - the best option would be to go to the homepage of the bit torrent programme you are using (azureus/bit tornado etc) and have a look at their forum - I wouldnt want to just suggest disabling your firewall as this could lead to other problems, so worth checking what they say - I use a programme called Burst (very very basic) and have no problem connecting, Ive just set my firewall to allow ports 6889 (for example) to allow uploads/downloads.of sours another problem may be that the Tracker is down - this can frequently happen aswell
It could just be the torrent too, btw.
try downloading the torrent for OpenOffice:

If you can happily download the torrent, then its a problem with the other torrent you have. If the open office torrent doesn't work properly either, than as Alun says, it's probably a firewall problem.
