new ati graphics card, do i need a new ati driver

if i upgrade my ati radeon 9200se 128 mb card to a 9600xt 256mb ati radeon card will i have to uninstall and reinstall my drivers.the reason i ask is that the ati drivers are a one fits all driver for all radeon cards.

therefore if i just put in my new card will windows and the old driver just pick it up automatically?

Yes, just install the new card. But then once you've loaded windows with the new card, go onto the ATI website and download the latest drivers for the new card.
