word printing problems

i have tried to print a doc in word with a green & white background . this doesn't show in print preview, neitrher does it print . any ideas .pls.

Not enough information I'm afraid. If the document was originally created by MS Word and you had the font colour set on green and you tried to print the document whilst in MS Word by choosing the print option under 'file' then the printed document should have green text unless the printer settings prohibit this.

no oldbob i meant the background, not font . as in format>background>gradient> 2 colours. it looks green/white for example ., in all views (normal, reading,outline,web) but then i go to print preview & it's just a plain white sheet . understand now ? thanks for yr time
