Why get a mono Palm? The colour palms are great, however screen resolution is something of a concern. Whilst a PocketPC runs at 240x320, most palms (certainly those makde by Palm Inc.) run at 160x160. The exception to this is the Sony Clie which runs PalmOS at 320x320. It also happens to be a darn sight sexier than the Palm devices. Personally, I've had a Jornada, which I liked the feel of, but was too slow and cumbersome. I've had an iPaQ, which is certainly better than the Jornada in terms of speed, but I disliked the design, and the fact that any peripherals almost doubled the physical size of the thing: it's certainly not small. Now, I'm settled on a Clie which is sleek and slender, and has the benefit of an industry standard interface: PalmOS. As for where to buy... the US: I bought mine there because it was 40% cheaper. If you want to chat more about it, just post and I'll make sure I monitor this thread.
I would definitely go with colour Palms Pilot Z22.
