Windows Desktop: "Arrange Icons By Modified"

Does anyone know how I set my desktop to permenantly 'arrange my icons' by 'modified' as the default setting?


I'm permamntly losing files I've downloaded, and would like the most recently added files to be on the right hand side of all the other icons.


I keep setting it, via a right-click, but it doesn't seem to stay. Many thanks in advance.

click on align to grid, not auto arrange.
