Lost emails

I have been using an email address for about 10 years with few problems, about 10 days ago stopped receiveing any. Fortunately I have another which I have stared to use- but I cant get anywhere with finding out what happened to the original. It was hosted by Telinco, which was taken over by Tiscali, but they cant help. Any ideas?
