For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Unfortunately, the method that MrsJo suggests (namely System Restore: get to it by going to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore) won't restore any files you've deleted from your system, only the system (Windows) itself and the programs installed at that time.
There are tools out there that do allow you to "undelete" files that haven't yet been overwritten on the disk, however. I've not tried this particular tool myself, but a quick Google search on 'Undelete' brought up this free undelete utility: http://officerecovery.com/freeundelete/ which you can have a play with.
