My broadband is losing it's connection on the Network every 10 mins exactly....my computer still indicates I am still connected but the connection has actually dropped from the BRAS ( BT connection). All I can do is log off and log back on again...I am really stumped - has anyone else experienced this...could it be something internally in my PC settings that is causing this problem - i have tried to change the power management settings but this has had no effect....

Hi. If you have "call waiting" phone this will disrupt connection if it activates. or

Someone may lift up the phone..this could also disrupt connection if you don't have "splitters" fitted to all your house phones...or it may be shutting down due to inactivity. Open Device Manager by going to START, HELP AND SUPPORT and type in DEVICE MANAGER.When DEVICE MANAGER opens click the plus sign against your modem. This will display the modem you have...Now right click this modem and click the power management tab from the pop up box and check that you don't have the save power box ticked. Hope this helps
