I am a user and I havent had any notification of this nature.

Sounds more like a windup to me
Definitely not true. Agree with LazyGun, sounds like a wind-up or possibly a scam to get financial info. Delete all these emails and empty trash; don't open them. Only legitimate emails I receive from msn have the address [email protected] .

I've received this, it provides a BBC link which categorically states that MSN messenger will not be charged for. It's just a chain email.

Its another scam, preying on the ignorant and stupid.

If in doubt always check the website directly and not use a 'click-link-from-email' that often takes you to a fake website.

as suggested in the (genuine!!!) bbc link from my post of yesterday, an easy way to check the validity of any e-mail forward advisory is to "google" the gist - in this case, something like "microsoft to charge for msn", and you'll soon find links to something demonstrating how true it is - or not.
