Samsung YP-Z5A MP3 Player Select button

Hi,

I have just bought a Samsung YP-Z5A MP3 player from eBay and am already having a problem with it, it seems that everything works except for the select button. I can scroll through the folders but can't go into any of them, when I come to select the folder it registers on the touchpad as scroll down, so all I can do at the moment is scroll up and down. Can anyone help?

Forgive me if i'm being daft but has it been working before and suddenly stopped working? On most mp3 players the "play" button is the select button, have you tried pressing the play button to select the options ?

Yes I've tried the play button, it's a seperate button to the touchpad. I only got the player this morning so it has never worked, I've e-mailed the guy I bought it from to see if he knows anything, otherwise I don't know what to do.

As long as the folders have stuff in them I couldn't see why there would be a problem....

Yeah maybe best to email the seller....I've tried looking on websites to see what they look like and the 4gb seems a bit pricey...(I got a different one, not samsung but 20gb off amazon)....

Damn Answerbank posting an answer before I had one. Anyway, I have found out the problem, it is that I am a fool. I assumed that since it was a touchpad that I merely tap the centre like it was saying in the guide, however I found out, through testing, that it is a button itself that needs to be pressed. But thank you anyway for your help.
