Signing on to the answer bank

Hi, when im on AOL it doesnt sign on to the answer bank but i have just thought to use internet explorer and it works. Can you tell me why this is? Thanks

Because AOL software is appaulingly poor.


Why not just use the AOL dial-up or broadband parameters (depending on which you are on), to connect to the Internet. Then use something slightly sensible like Internet Explorer, Firefox etc to surf rather than their software ?

I agree, I have only used AOL browser software a few times and HATE it. All I want from an ISP is an account, password and reliable connection.

I don't touch AOL with a barge pole if I can avoid it. So many problems, and it clings to your Windows registry like a limpet with an insecurity complex. Firefox or IE are much better browsers, and don't screw up Windows either.

As a web developer we have had many problems with users who connect via AOL, these problems vary but center around the borwser being non-standard and AOL using cache servers which cache things that shouldn't be.
