Volume control?

I've just created? a compilation of tracks off my C.D's using Roxio 8, but the volumes of different tracks are all up& down! How can I equalise the volumes over the whole C.D. ?

P.S. I'm no technician!!

This is how you do it in Roxio media creator classic:
Before burning the compilation CD, click File/Project settings.
On the Audio tab, check the box "Normalize audio"
