Open windows media player. Put the cd in and it should show up. At the top there are tabs...clcik the one titled 'ripr'. Then there is a button to start the ripping.

It will defualt rip the files to your 'my music' folder. Just keep doing this.

Regarding your wanting to put the mp3s onto one cd, you will be restricted here. Although a cd can hold 700mb of information, it does have a duration limit of 80 minutes. This means you probablly wont be able to get more than 18 or so songs on one cd.

Anyway, to choose what songs you want go into the 'my music' file, right click on the individual mp3, and select 'add to burn list'. Once you have the burn list completed and have a blank cd in the drive, just simply click the 'burn' tab in windows media player, and click the button to start burn.

Excuse the spelling mistakes...i am in work and in a rush.
Media Player will rip an audio CD and convert its cda (CD Audio) tracks into wma (Windows Media Audio) files. wma are almost identical to mp3 files and most things that play mp3 will play wma as well. If you specifically want to convert to mp3 files, Media Player needs an add-on that will convert cda or wma to mp3, or you need a separate conversion program.
Convert to mp3 or aac, not wma.
