If you have a handheld computer that can play mp3 files but uses a memory card - how do you get the mp3 files on to the memory card? I know you can get card reader attachments for a pc - do these write as well?

Whilst you can do it through Active Sync, it takes ages compared to a card reader. Active Sync checks each file to see whether it can convert them to a Pocket PC version. If it can't it will just copy it as is but all this checking adds to the transfer time.
There is another alternative - most new handhelds come with wireless LAN built in. Once connected to your wireless network you can drag and drop files to the handheld as if it were any other network drive.
