As a long term firefox user I was interested in this.

Had a lot of problems getting it even open - my popup blocker had to be disabled.

Now I have it open - it looks good, but constantly crashes, can't cope with more than one tab open and is extremely tempremental.

It's rubbish. So is IE6.

Stick to using firefox if you do already. If not, download firefox and stop using IE.

Apart from the UI in IE7 being terrible, the main thing for me (being a developer) is that this final beta release is said to be the one with its rendering engine shipping in the final product. And it's not that great at all -- there are still many inconsistencies that have been in IE since IE5. They're still in IE6 now, and they're still in IE7. How long does it take Microsoft to fix these?!

Trying it at work, and it seems to me a bit like Firefox, but without all the groovy extensions. Apparently it's a bit difficult to downgrade, too.

Unless you're desperate to trial it, I'd stay clear. Try Firefox if you haven't already done so.
