track splitting

Hi iv just recored a tape onto my computer (After 5 hours of messing around) i used microsoft plus to do it. But it has split it into 5 tracks is there another programme i can use to change it back into 1 long track

AudaCity is a good free audio editor that would allow you to do this. You could also record in on it next time.

I've found Audio Cleaning Lab very easy to use.
