So if you can figure out a way of getting that video onto your tv (maybe if your laptop has a tv/monitor out or something), then you could try that.
It sounds like the red and blue segments of the pixel have died if you're getting green when it should be white. That's because white is made up of all three colours fully 'on'. The term for your pixel is a 'stuck pixel'. Whether it's a cause for complaint under guarantee depends on the manufacturer - some will not acknowledge the screen's faulty unless there are more than 5 bad pixels! It's unlikely that this will cause any further problems. A bad pixel doesn't have any effect on the ones next to it.
