Ok I have no idea how to use this program.

Basically what I want to do I have different cells, different widths - I know I can alter the width of a column. I have the months on 1 row, under that on the next row, I want the dates of the start of each week in that month but I want 1,2,3,4 (four different cells) to fit under one cell for the month.

That still sounds confusing but you might understand.

You need to merge the cells in the 'months' row to span the 4 columns beneath.

This from Excel Help:

1. Select the cells you want to merge.
   


2. To merge cells in a row and center the cell contents, click Merge and Center on the Formatting toolbar.
   
   To merge any selection of cells within a row or column, click Cells on the Format menu, click the Alignment tab, and then select the Merge cells check box.
