I am wanting to set up a forum on my own website (With own domain) I have looked at Forummate, runboard. I also looked at myfastforum but discarded this
Can anyone recommend a UK based one (ie no reference to dollars) I want it for exchange of information rather than selling and of course it must be free.
Any help appreciated - thanks

I don't understand why you want a UK-based one. If you want it for your own website, and will be running it on your website, that it doesn't matter. It runs on your website, wherever your website happens to be located.

Does your host support PHP or ASP(.net)? For a PHP version, I can recommend this:

Thanks fo3nix for offering help again

I did start on this track a few weeks ago but got sidelined with other things
My reason for wanting UK based was because I believe I am expected to allow a certain amount of advertising and adverts on the sites I looked at had prices in dollars. Although I am happy to correspond with anyone in any country I would like it to look English (although unlike Welsh, Irish and Scottish it non existent)

My host does support PHP and offers unlimited space etc so I will follow up your recommended link

thanks again

OK.

As for adverts, you may want to check out Google' Adsense. Free to use, and if you have plenty of visitors can generate some cash. Also they're targeted, so you only get relevant adverts.
