Can anyone tell me what I need to install and run regularly on my computer to keep it safe. Currently I have AVG and the Windows Defender against spyware. Thanks!

ADaware and spybot s&d scanners are fine for piece of mind if you think something is wrong,by the time you schedule a scan to detect any potential threat on your system, chances are any adware , spware or active x control has done it's job. Spyware blaster stops it from getting onto your system in the first place. Support for I.E and Firefox, regular updates and it's free. Also a firewall would be a good idea, zone alarm is free and does a good job. OH yes, definetely use the Firefox browser rather than I.E, I've recently been informed AVG is better than the AV software i'm currently using (from this site) so stay with that! I believe in spyware blaster as I run both adawre and spybot s&d for years and they never detect a thing!

AVG on its own should be fine. I've used it with no problems and best of all it can be used as an all in one tool to help ensure internet safety for kids. For more tips and advice on internet safety for children visit http://internetsafetyforkids.co.uk
