Internet/phone line problem

I have broardband provided by Force 9 and a BT phone line.

When the internet is connected and I use the phone I can hear the digital noise in the background. Also, if I'm surfing the net and somebody rings my phone number I often have to re boot my modem to be able to continue using the internet.

Any idea what the problem is??????

Presume you're using the correct Microfilter setup? http://usertools.force9.net/tutorials/id/13

Your modem is not working properly. Or maybe some firewall is on active preventing incoming calls.
