Is there a way to limit the maximum volume on my pc to prevent kids from playing music too loud. Operating systems are windows millenium edition and xp home edition.

Right click on the speaker and select "open volume cotrole" in the new window select options and click "properties" Make sure theres a green dot next to "play back" and put a tick in all the box's in the "show the following volume controls" Once done click ok. Then when you back to the other window drag the sliders under each heading down to about half then put the far left one to max. This should set the top out put of your PC volume lower than what it was. If it's still too loud then lower the other sliders a bit more untill you get a volume you like, leaving the far left one on max. It's also a bit harder for people to re-set.
or you can get it free by giving it a serial code from www.serialz.to Though this is naughty so i would say buy it. Wouldnt want to be naughty... Im just telling you this so as to tell you NOT to go there and save yourself 40.99. Honest!
