800mb cd's

i have purchased a load of 8mb cd's but my computer only recognises them as 700mb cd's. why is this? and is there any software i can download to sort this?

Im no expert when it comes to CDs and burning, but could it be that the firmware on your CD/DVD drive needs updating? If its not that, you can use Nero to burn CDs and change the settings so that nero recognises it as a 800mb cd and not 700mb. If it's neither of those 2 then I dont know :)
