My husband has inadvertantly locked the individual documents in his correspondance folder on desktop, this means although he can view each individual document it won't let him amend or modify any of them, he can't remember what he did to make this happen, and windows microsoft help advice was inteligible.

Can somone tell me in noddy and big ears language how to unlock them?

Try right clicking the individual document then go to Properties. Where it says 'Attributes' there is a box which says 'Read Only'. Make sure this is not ticked then you can edit. Alternatively do the same for the entire document folder (eg My Documents). OK?
