when i burn a cd from an avi file why are the words and pictures out of sync?

Possible problems:

a) You don't have the correct DivX or Xvid codecs installed. Visit www.downloads.com

b) Sometimes it is in sync only if you play it on a compatible DVD player not on your computer (as is my experience)

c) Try DivX player instaed of Windows Media Player

d) The original file is out of sync

Mae sure that you defragment your hard drive on a regular basis.
