Viewing American content in Europe

I live in Europe but would like to view American streaming video. Unfortunately most such websites allow only American users to view their content. Is there any way to "pretend" being in the States?Thanks

You could try connecting via a proxy server (obviously you'd need an American one). Have a look at this:
