Can you revert a DVDRip file back to a DVD file?

When you say a DVD rip file, I assume you mean a DVD that has been converted to another video format such as AVI or MPG. If this is the case, most DVD writing software will automatically convert AVIs and MPGs and write them to a DVD which will be watchable on a stand alone DVD player. Nero is one piece of software that springs to mind. You select File --> New --> DVD-Video, then drag and drop your file into the VIDEO_TS folder.
Thinking about it, my above answer isn't quite right. Nero can do what you propose, but not in the way I've described, but it can definately do it!
