I seem to be the only music fan I know who isn't zapping music off the Net like there's no tomorrow. All I want to do is find some old chart singles, and some late 70's / early 80's disco 12' singles, and get them onto my computer. Where do i find them, and how do i download them please? I know this is so obvious everyone knows how, but I don't, so all advice appreciated.

Mate Kazza is the way forward Iam the same and you can create your own mix cds if you type in kazza into your search it should come up its complety free and its all about sharing music, vids, software, images stuff like that and its well easy to use (I should now because I cant really use computers check it out Good luck and happy downloading
Just to add to Bobby's reply, use kazaalite rather than kazaa (if you can, it looks as though http://www.kazaalite.com is having a few technical problems) as it is spyware free. Essentially it is like Napster: a peer to peer (P2P) network where you download music/video/etc files straight from other participants hard drives. You can share as much or as little as you see fit but bear in mind you get ranked as far as your sharing goes (the better your rank the more likely you will download a requested file). However, you can get kazaa cracks that will artificially increase your rank. I find that if I use kazaa (lite or full fat) it cripples my cable modem connection so as a result I use it rarely.
Andy mate i would recommend www.winMX.com for all your MP3 needs. It doesn't contain any spyware (Kazaa is choc-a-blok of it) and although it may not have as many users as some other P2P sites i have always found what i'm looking for on it which includes loads of late 70s disco......once you've decided on the software your using post back if you have any other problems and we'll sort you out!
ps Andy, you are NOT the only one! I have downloaded various programmes over the years and haven't got it right yet. Good luck!
I have used Winmx, Kazaa, Shareaza, and Audiogalaxy. IMO Winmx is the superior choice by miles, except Audiogalaxy was kinda cool til it was assassinated.
If there's a faster, easier download program, I've never seen it. I can get any music piece I want at lightning speeds! You name it, i can download it only through mykazaagold.
Try http://www.mykazaagold.com
Try it our it is the best out there, highly recommended.
I recently bought http://www.kazaa-platinum.com .

I think it is a revolution in music & movies. Unlimited music & dvd movies at your finger tips, for just a one time 29.50 $ fee.

Also, I got free Mp3/Ipods transfer , CD burning , anti virus software, which came along.

No need to make changes in your fire walls , internet securities. Very friendly, easy to use, 24/7 technical support peace of mind.

I think this was the best choice I ever made.

Try http://www.kazaa-platinum.com

I think , this was the best choice I ever made in regards of music/movie downloads.

More search results than any other music download company
