Memory Stick Format

Is there a way to format a 1Gb memory stick (pen drive). I've managed to get some files on it that won't delete or rename. The PC doesn't recognise the program that created them and they are all identical and named "a symbol of a square" I don't know how to do the square sorry, any ideas please?

Go into my computer, and you'll find your pen drive listed there. you should be able to right-click its icon and click "format". it'll be set (or should be set to) FAT as the file system. make sure you choose the correct drive!
