connecting my mac to the internet via my pc

Hi I have a mac (OS 10) and a laptop (win XP). The PC connects to the internet via woreless...however the mac does not seem to be able to recieve a signal in the next room...so I wanted to connect my mac to the internet via the pc....i have tried setting up an internet conenction but have had no luck...any idea about how to do this...thanks

Seems strange. Does the mac get a signal if it's in the same room as the wireless router?

nope.....nothing listed in the airport...so we thought try to connect the mac to the internet via the pc
Do you have the router broadcast it's SSID? If that is switched off then you won't see it and will have to join it manually. What mac have you got?

it is a powerbook g4...it picks up other wireless connections that are secured but not the one we need....it has airport extreme
can you check your router to see if it's got SSID broadcast enabled and the channel it's on. What type of router is it?
