Sounds like a virus to me. Try some different spyware, adware, malware and virus removers.

Also, I'm not sure what it will prove but try to get to it from here:

www.bbcworld.com

You get to see the BBC with adverts here!!

dont know if this is of any help to you but i have been having a problem for 3 weeks and finally cleared it. If you look back to the 14th 26th and 29th of may you can see why I was tearing my hair out.

ok, tried 5 different antivirus/spyware(Adaware, A2, Ewido, Spybot & Avast) etc and the pc is now completely clean - still no BBC Sites

done a full system restore, deleted all cookies & cleared cache, had settings checked, uninstalled everything added in the last month, and its not a local problem.

I can access BBC World or BBC Sport but no others and can't use any of the links that come up on either of those......

Thank you to all who have tried to help with this but I think I give up!!.....(but any other ideas would be appreciated. ;) )

A xXx

Have you tried contacting the BBC themselves? What about the security settings in Internet Explorer? Are you running ZoneAlarm or any other software that might block access?
