I am having problems when i try to put a home made movie onto a dvd-r and rw.It will play back on the pc and on the laptop but wont play in any dvd player.
The dvd player takes other home made films that my friends make but it wont take mine.

Thanks Kozmic *_*

You will need to finalise the dvd-r before it will play in your dvd player.

Is there a facility in windows movie maker to do this?

Know it has a save to cd and dvd section.Does not say anything about how to finalise. Is there a program i could download??

Thanks Kozmic

You need to use whatever burning software (Nero, Roxio etc) that you have to create a DVD rather than a data disc burnt on to DVD (if you see the difference). At present I suspect that you are doing the latter. AFAIK, Windows Movie Maker will only let you choose a data type and resolution for the movie you create (which will play on a PC) but does not let you creat a "DVD film".
