The only lead you will need is a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable like this:

Then connect your walkman to the line in on your PC and load the software and select record. Oh. Make sure the that you turn the olume in the walkman all the wy down before you hook it up and then slowly vring the volume up when you start recording, until you get the level right. Once you know the level you won't need to do it again.
Can I recommend you try Magix 'audio cleaning lab'. I use it regularly when making the type of recordings you are proposing. You'll already know that all audio playback from tapes (regardless of how good your Walkman is) are affected by 'hiss'.
Cleaning lab (which sometimes is bundled with the necessary 3.5mmto 3.5mm cable) allows you to adjust the capture parameters at an optimal level for a good recording, then lets you 'clean' up the track, remove the 'hiss', increase the 'brightness' (makes the track sound more vibrant) etc. The amazing thing is with a little effort you will be able to convert your downloaded music into virtual CD quality, better than the tape. Cost 10 to 15.
