limewire speeds

does anyone know what speeds T1, T3 or higher, Cable/modem or DSL means? i was asked on limewire which one i have and i have no idea. i have 1mb broadband. thanks

Just set it to T1, it's about 50% faster than you've got but it wont make much difference.


For reference you probably have 1mbps DSL.

You have 1MB ADSL, which is similar to the DSL that they give, so i'd say choose dsl. won't speed things up for you or slow them down, but may help the network if the settings are being put to good use.

T3 is the fastest of those lines.. a very fast connection, comparatively speaking. about 48mbps I think, but could be wrong there. T1 is about 12mbps I think.
T1 is 1.5mbps
oh wow, i'm way out! the T3 is pretty accurate though. i have a feeling i'm thinking back to the good old dialup days when a T1 line was fast.
