What sort of viruses? Not everything detected be those programmes are necessarily bad.

Read this page - make sure you have a firewall - I like ZoneAlarm, at least one anti-virus - I use AVG, a spyware detector such as Spybot and a trojan detector such as A squared. They are all free and can be downloaded from here:

I would be interested to know which viruses you have. There really is no need to pay for any software.

I always use Norton Antivirus and I have never had any viruses.

You do not have to pay for the annual Re-Register!

Each year when mine runs out I go on ebay and buy last years complete new norton which of course has a years virus updates included for peanuts and load in to my computer.

How do you know you have 4 viruses? If you mean that AVG is telling you this then they will have been quarantined, so you don't actually have a problem.

Have you missed the point ?The whole idea of AVG Anti Virus is to find a virus for you.

If you dont like the idea of it finding a virus then dont have it.

Is it being kept updated ?
