On bottom of screen there is a function for shuffle on or off, cant seem to find what it does anybody help please

shuffle plays your playlist in random order.

Couldn't find shuffle at bottom of screen but did find it in one of the top menus.

Mine was already clicked and all that happened is it chose songs at random when playing from a playlist instead of the order that showed on the screen.

Turn on or off shuffle and/or repeat. When shuffle is turned on, items in a playlist or tracks on a CD are played in a random order. When repeat is turned on, a playlist, CD, or a selected DVD title can be played repeatedly.
