If i right click on 'C' drive then click 'PROPERTIES' it brings up info on disk capacity , which in my case it says CAPACITY 1.99GB.

As i don't know much about computers , does this mean that it has a 2GB hard drive. ????

I want to sell my old laptop and need to know its hard drive size.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Dajstar - effectively yes, unless the drive has been split into partitions.
If your laptop is several years old, 2GB will about right but realistically will be useless for today's user's.
if your laptop has windows 95 installed it will show all hardrives as 2gb no matter how big it is as this is all it recognizes.if you have any other o.s then 2gb is what you have.

You may be able to double check by using an option called System Information.

Not sure what version of Windows you are using but have a hunt round the menu options to see if there is something like a System Information option.

This should tell you all about your hardware, including size of hard disk.

If it IS 2Gb then I doubt if anyone is going to buy it, except maybe for spare parts.

The later version of Win 95 (Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2) or OSR2 adopted FAT32 and did away with the 2GB threshold.
Your PC version will show if you have OSR2 or not if you are using Win95.
