what is web/online on msn , as i know my girlfriend is home with me and her web/online comes on and goes off without anyone being in the salon , is this something i need to worrie about like is the salon p,c being hacked

MSN Web Messenger ( http://webmessenger.msn.com/ ) is an online version of Messenger that you can use if you're not able to download and install the real thing, like if you're at work or away from home.

As it's a Web version of messenger, that account could be signing in from anywhere. Try switching off the salon PC for an evening and see if it continues.

As with any PC connected to the internet, it is essential that antivirus software and firewalls are running and up-to-date at all times!

Here's an update!

If your messenger is signed in at home and your girlfriend signs into her Hotmail account, she will appear on your Messenger as MSN Web Messenger... The same thing just happened to me here!
