Does anyone know how you can check the speed of your Broadband on an Apple Mac?

I assume that you've got Java installed on your Mac. (The vast majority of home computers, irrespective of OS, have Java enabled).

You can check the speed of your broadband by doing speed test in the site http://www.scanmyspeed.com/ . This speed test works on all browsers since it does not use Flash, Java or any external programs/add-ons to run these speed tests . It uses JavaScript which is present in all browsers(as default) so no additional plugins required.
