I recently re formatted my pc after it was infested with viruses having installed broadband. There is no sound coming from the speakers. The connection on the back of the box where I plug the speakers in goes straight to the main board, which is an 845E MAX. What do I have to do? Is it something to do with drivers?
Is the sound card a separate item or is it part of the main board. Also, how do I get into the bios environment and once in where do I go to check the sound is enabled.
Thanks.
Oh, just one more thing. Every time I boot up the machine the cd drawer opens. Any ideas how to stop this?
sound card can be separate or part of mother board.. mine was part of mother board but when i replaced with seperate one it worked fine.. if i remember righty bios is F2... then its pretty straight forward
