Wireless problem

I have a desktop PC and also a laptop, sharing a wireless connection.

Last night I moved my desktop PC from the living room into an upstairs bedroom. Now I can't connect to the network from desktop or laptop, even though the laptop was fine before and I haven't moved the router.

Would move moving the desktop PC cause this or is it just a coincidence? (I haven't tried yet today, am still at work)

Two things i cant think of, as i have a similar set-up. one, you might be out of range of the router. they have a range of about 50 meters, so you would have to have a very large for that to happen. secondly, there could be a probelem with the wireless adapter for youre desktop, make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

Thanks charlie_h, don't know what went on. All evening I have still been unable to connect on laptop but have just moved the router across the room and am happily connected on my desktop - will go and try the laptop in a mo.

Don't think I was out of range, it was picking up the wireless network on both machines, just wouldn't connect.
