The New Live MSN Messenger

I downloaded the new Windows messenger but now several of my contacts are missing and ones that I have never heard of are there. Am I doing something wrong? I cant find the old version

The new Messenger uses all your hotmail contacts as Messenger contacts by default. To change this, go to

Contact -> Filter Contacts

and choose "Messenger Contacts Only"

Perhaps the ones that are "missing" are just lost amongst loads of others? :)

Thanks mattfox. All I see is my hotmail; contacts. I uninstaled it but will reinstall and see what happens

I reinstalled messenger live but all by contacts have disapeared only my hotmail contacts are there. I aslo reinstalled the old version but its the same.

Your "non Messenging contacts" folder may be near the top, so scroll down to the bottom and see if they are there

Thanks too all. it's sorted. I have sereral hotmail accounts but I used the wring one that had my messenger accounts
