you really cannot go wrong with fuji cameras the pictures are sharp and colours are excellent. they are all idiot proof in the auto setting and very easy to use.
If you fancied something that is idiot proof to begin with but also has the potential to allow the photographer full manual control if you wanted to take up it up as a hobby then the s602 zoom (mine), s7000 or the s20 pro (hubbys) are all fantastic cameras. All three are available on e bay secondhand for 150 to 200 (we just had another s20 yesterday for a mate off there 180). they are slightly larger than the little silver cameras but are much more versatile. i use auto settings on mine but hope to learn how to use it like the hubby can use his (full Manual). but even on auto i have been more than happy to enter some of my pics into fuji uk's website competition. coupled with epson r220 printer you cannot create a bad photo. we really pleased with our choice.
One of best review sites for whatever camera you may purchase is www.steves-digicams.com hope this info helps. happy snapping.
