CD label-making software

Can anyone recommend a free, downloadable CD/DVD label maker? I don't need lots of bells and whistles, just something to create a photo label with some text on which I can then print onto a proprietary blank label.

Thanks.

Is there nothing in your burning software? most have some sort of label-making facility.

The PC (Dell) came with Sonic Digitalmedia LE v7 pre-installed. I have looked, but it does not seem to include the software for labelmaking. In "Help" it says that if the Label Disk button is not present (and it is not), the software is not on the PC).
try downloading label creator.they have a great selection of pictures and you can also add your own photos to the labels .it also does the case labels aswell.let me know.

Found a free program courtesy of PC Pro this month (on its coverdisc) and can be downloaded from here:-

Wideboy,

DeepBurner would appear to be just what I am looking for. However, I can't work out how to centre the "label" on the page (or more correctly, orientate the label over the cut-out label on the dedicated self-adhesive A4 label sheets which I have). There doesn't seem to be a "centre image" button.

Have you used DeepBurner? Any ideas?
Will try it soon.
Look in the Help under Label. Are you using 'In-Line' labels (down the middle of the sheet) or 'Offset' labels (top left, bottom right)? I would STRONGLY suggest getting an Epson 220 printer which prints directly to CD/DVD (or one of the new Canon Pixma printers - 4200?).

I'm being a bit of a thicko here. I can get to this stage of setting up the label:

but in Print preview, the image is offset to the left and in Help there seems to be no Label option and certainly no In-line or Offset option (that I can find).

I only want to use the label maker infrequently, so buying a new printer is not an option.

Thanks in advance for any further help.
It looks as if they have decided to use 'offset' labels as their default without being able to change it (it is free you know). You need to invest in some 'offset' labels (cheaper than a new printer) - a local computer shop might be able to help, or buy on-line. The 'high street' shops often don't tell you on the packet if they are 'offset' or 'in-line'.
