DRST.EXE is a diagnostics program for SpeedTouch Comms devices (typically an ADSL modem). You SHOULD be able to safely stop it running at start up, especially if you are connected by ethernet (as opposed to USB).

Click on always allow. Or you can go to firewall settings and select always allow from there.

Thanks for replies, will check on ethernet, but as I am with what was Wanadoo, ( now orange), I should imagine I am.
i accept all you say but I am sure it is settings I need advice on. Cheers Hard@it
is it something you want or not? Is it a norton popup? if so click the always allow when norton asks for your recommendation. if not and it is something you do not want to grant access to then you can go to start, run, type msconfig, go to startup, look for DRST.EXE and uncheck it. Restart the computer and check the popup box for "do not show this again. Hope this is more help to you.
