My error:

Hardware malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity check/ memory parity error
*** The system has halted***

This happens everytime I try to watch short video clips. Like the 3rd or 4th one, BANG Blue screen. Other then that the computer works great.

Compaq
Windows 2000

Any ideas? Thanx all

Sounds like some driver malfunction - have a look here as it seems to fit the message?

Download VLC Media Player ...it's free and works with everything ... quictime used to crash my PC but this is fine
1/ Have you got the latest Media Player?
2/ Could be a codec problem. More likely codec version than absence.
3/ Video driver problem. Have you got the latest version?
NMI ("Non Maskable Interrupt") is similar to PIC interrupts but it goes to CPU or to other controller that is ISP. To resolve this error message you need a repair tool that can easily fix issue related to your PC such as system errors, cleans Windows error, restore settings, blue screen of death etc.
